TrueBorn: We’ve Waited A Thousand Years Synopsis

MaxEllen Channing is the type of woman that has a short fuse and mean right hook. At age 84, Max was given the chance at a new life and turned into a werewolf. Her maker, George, never expected her to live, nor did he expect her to be so powerful. After her first shift, she looks like she did in her twenties: an olive-skinned beauty with midnight hair.

The new life Max is eager to begin is tainted when George explains that women are being abducted for showing signs of dominance and strength, traits that Max clearly exhibits. A local werewolf pack is responsible, and their goal is to impregnate these women to fulfill the TrueBorn Prophecy.  These women are raped, repeatedly. Some are killed. Some have been held for years. None have ever been released.

Going against every instinct Max has, she must pretend to be submissive in order to survive. After twenty years of pretending, Max finds out that a friend has been taken, and she can no longer ignore the guilt that consumes her. Max begins to take steps to locate and rescue the abducted women.

While trying to figure out where the women are located, Max exposes herself. Vampires track Max back to her home and attack her at the local witches house. Even though they survive the attack, Max has drawn even more attention to herself and she is now under investigation by The Reichstag. Blake McGrady arrives to investigate and finds the six-foot olive skinned beauty, MaxEllen Channing, intriguing. Realizing Max maintains her secrecy to protect her friends, Blake chooses to trust her and give her his support.

Max has to swallow her pride and use the help being offered to her. More than that, she must learn to be patient and depend on her friends to help her rescue the women. On top of all that, blue-eyed Blake McGrady makes Max feel things she hasn’t felt in a long time. In order for the women to be saved, Max must risk the lives of those closest to her heart. Something she isn’t sure she can do again.
