Essential Oils seem to be all the rage these days and everyone is using “some” type of essential oil, for whatever reason.
I decided, about 12 years ago, that I was going to give it a go. I was a new mom, and my oldest child started going to daycare.
I don’t know about you, but none of my kids and very few other kids I’ve met–like to share. However, the one thing they always seem to share are germs. Go figure.
Sure enough, he caught something that was going around–, a runny nose, a fever and sometimes a nasty ear infection. When he did, I would take him to the pediatrician and lo and behold – it was viral! This meant there was no medication to give him, just make sure we had a humidifier and we could even prop his head, or mattress, up to help with drainage. I could also do a warm compress. I know that it did help, but truly, was that it?
Thanks for nothing.
Like a lot of parents out there, I was desperate. I needed to do something. Anything. It was every other week he would get some type of cold. Then, a good friend told me she used essential oils and they could help.
Maybe they would, maybe they wouldn’t. But by golly, I was going to try. So, I purchased some essential oils. dōTerra was the brand I ended up going with and I’ve been hooked ever since.
